That’s a Wrap! 2022 at Kingfisher Labels

2022 was an incredible landmark year for us. It was a year full of tremendous growth, exciting new investments, and even the odd award or two! Our team worked hard to continue their pursuit of quality, simplicity and best-in-class customer service, and we couldn’t be prouder of the results.

From achieving staggering financial outcomes to winning two gold prizes for our labelling at the annual Flexotech Awards, 2022 has seen Kingfisher Labels go from strength to strength. Our self-adhesive labels and attention-grabbing designs have expanded our customer base from St Ives to Manchester. How have we managed to maintain that business growth?

By doing what we always do. Very early on, we decided on a mantra: ‘Simple but effective.’ That mantra, our guiding philosophy, hasn’t changed one bit. Over the years, the people and technology we’ve invested in have enabled us to constantly become more efficient, productive, and sustainable.

A Year of Growth and Investment

Back in March, we reported the fantastic gains we’d made over the previous financial year. That included milestones such as +50% in turnover, significant improvements to our productivity, and successfully reducing our overheads while increasing our net profit.

Our gains allowed us to make sound investments in new label printing machinery to grow our abilities and capacity. These investments included the purchase of our second Edale FL1 Prime Press, and thanks to this Press, our efficiency and design capabilities have been furthered significantly. We also set our sights on a sparkling new base of operations to ensure further expansion.

2022 has been a growth year for our team, too. Our new recruits have become invaluable to us, and we’ve celebrated some mighty staff anniversaries. Without our excellent Kingfisher team, we wouldn’t be the labelling experts you know and trust.

It’s now vital that every business in the industry creates and commits to sustainable labels, and we’ve enjoyed every minute of rising to this challenge.

From using sustainable alternatives to plastic in our solutions to improving kitchen hygiene with Day Dot Rotation Labels, we’ve been helping our customers stay up to speed with the evolving market and strengthening our bond with them along the way.

The prioritisation of sustainable labelling is going nowhere, and we’re here to help your business recognise and respond to the growing need for eco-friendly packaging solutions. Our labels will help you adapt to the plastic packaging tax, but they’re also absolute confirmation that sustainable options don’t need to compromise on quality in the slightest.

Our Labels Are Recognised Award Winners

Our outreach has increased along with our commercial success in 2022. We’ve maintained our wonderful working relationships with everyone from Edale to industry magazines like The Converter and Labels and Labelling, and we were even blessed enough to become official gold prize winners at the Flexotech Awards 2022.

Kingfisher’s beautiful label for Moor Beer’s delicious Italian Pilsner scooped up ‘Best Newcomer’ and ‘Best Print – Labels Process’ back in October, signifying two things:

  1. Our creative, high-quality labels are being recognised nationally.
  2. We’re a dependable provider, across multiple industries, to some of the most exciting businesses out there.

Our pursuit of perfection and our dedication to solid working relationships has taken us miles in 2022 and will continue to in 2023 and all the years to come.
